Celebrating in style! We wanted to get away to a quick, domestic vacation for Mike’s 35th birthday. With so many great places to visit in our own country, we’ve been trying to balance each international trip with one in the US. We had actually planned heading to Seattle for this trip, but while browsing the tour schedule for the band Muse (Alaina is slightly obsessed), we saw that they would be hitting up Red Rocks the week we planned on vacationing. Since Denver was right up there on the list of must-visits for us & Red Rocks was an absolute bucket list venue, this pretty much sealed the deal! Seattle can wait :-).
With less than a week to race around the Denver area to see as much as possible we still managed to cover a LOT of ground including Red Rocks, Coors Field, the Molly Brown House (another Alaina obsession), incredible breweries & restaurants galore, Pike’s Peak (Mike’s fear of heights didn’t quiteeee let them get to the top…), Garden of the Gods, Georgetown, Colorado Springs & much much more!
