October – November 2010
After getting invited to a friend’s wedding in London on Halloween night 2010, we decided it would be foolish to fly out to Europe & not extend it for a longer trip! We gave ourselves a few days leading up to the wedding to explore London & help the happy couple with their final wedding prep including carving TONS of pumpkins (with a power drill no less – those Brits do Halloween up right). The wedding itself was in Laurence Olivier’s old mansion – if you’re gonna go British, go all the way British!
From London we caught a train to Paris for a lightning quick, 12 hour visit. We hit up all of the must-sees & then boarded a sleeper train to Barcelona where we spent the last few days of our trip. Our first full day in Barcelona we took a Fat Tire Bike Tour to get the lay of the land & could not recommend them more. So much fun & such a great way to get familiar with the city so that we could explore our favorite places further in the following days. From there we ate amazing food, wandered Las Ramblas & fell in love with everything Gaudi
